Woodbridge, VA – In May 2020, the “Two Mics Up” Podcast was created out of desire to equip the black community with knowledge, tools, mentorship, and support that can empower individuals, and the DC-Maryland-Virginia community as a whole.
Created by Damon Cunningham (“Damednydc”), Two Mics Up airs every week, and each episode aims to to “educate, empower, and positively impact the community.” Since its launch in May of 2020, Two Mics Up has done just that. Two Mics Up has aired episodes that promote and uplift multiple black-owned businesses in the DMV area; discussed important black history events (such as Juneteenth), and has touched on various difficult (and arguably uncomfortable) topics such as the current political climate, the #BlackLivesMatter movement, racism, and more.
“The purpose of the Two Mics Up Podcast is to Educate Empower and positively Impact the community,” said Damednydc, host and creator of Two Mics Up.
